Hi

I'd like to let my children use the computer but only to view sites that I have checked (They are very young) Does anyone know how I can create a list of sites that they can select from rather than letting them loose on the net? Thanks

You can add them to your favourites, in a folder of their own, so all they have to do is click on the yellow star and the right folder, then choose a site they would like to go on.

Hope that made sense.

Or:

  1. choose site
  2. add to favourites (yellow star [XP] with a green plus by it [Vista])
  3. organize favourites
  4. create folder
  5. add site into it from the list of favourites.
  6. repeat for other sites.

Humm, thanks 15years but the kids would still be able to browse or click on other things...I'm looking for a program that lets them use the internet without them straying into sites that are unsuitable (I know the sort so I can find them for the kids but don't want them to find things for themselves just yet.)

you can download parental controls like this. Maybe your ISP also provides them but you would have to check with whoever you are with to see.
