DD 12 weeks suddenly has lots of dirty nappies again - should I worry?

DD is exclusively BF. She did the newborn constant pooing thing until 4 wks, when she suddenly cut right back to once every few days (record was six days). Over the past week, they've become more and more frequent: every 2 days, then every day, and for the past day, all the bloody time (including twice in 20 min while out visiting my gran y'day ). She's also started pooing in the night again, which is a pain because it's so cold to do changes plus it wakes her up.

She's always been windy and these are accompanied by lots of farting and often by her sneezing or coughing at the same time. They vary from glorious bfed sunburst yellow to quite green (wind?).

Should I worry (PFB)? And will this stop? It's a pita having to change her so frequently and I'm worried she'll get nappy rash

its probably teeth in the gums on the move. is she drooling and chewing a lot?

My DD is nearly 14w and she's always pood once a day but these last couple of weeks she's been doing at least two, normally more which include poos that look like they're more likely to be follow-throughs (lovely!! ) than actual poos. She's been having an extra feed recently but I wouldn't have thought it'd produce quite as much poo!

I've heard that the green poos are possibly because of less of the fatty 'hind' milk being taken so maybe keep DD at each breast for longer before swapping.

She is both drooling and chewing but experts say that teething doesn't cause pooing and I don't want her to get teeth yet so am in denial

I've heard the theory about green poo and hind milk but she was latched on (though not necessarily sucking I suppose) for an hour or so on each side through the night and has been on most of today as well (growth spurt, anyone?).

Thanks for the replies

Arggh, sounds like a growth spurt to me Anglepoise, my DD started at 13w so maybe yours is just starting a little bit early!

definately sounds like the begining of teething to me. i found that all the extra saliva ds was making made loads more poos of a less solid nature. even now at 15mo i can tell if another tooth is coming through by the poop quality.
