OK so I lost my mind one morning and invited 3 of DPs friends round together for a playdate

Let them play while you drink coffee, they will have fun playing with all the new Xmas toys.

brilliant - they will play you can chat and drink coffee - you can take it in turns to go and sort out any little squabbles.

Read the thread title and had a very disturbing image of what a playdate with your DP and his friends might involve!

If it goes wrong, you could always (shudder) get out the craft stuff. Or playdoh. Good luck!

Coffee and cakes for the mums - and remember to hide any toys your DD is a bit precious about or new Christmas gifts that might be prone to breakage. I find that usually saves a lot of arguments.

We do this a lot, we mainline coffee and nice biscuits while the kids get grapes and water.
Just let them loose on the toys, and if it gets too rowdy tell yourself they are learning to share!
If you have a garden tis even better!

simpsonsChristmasSpecial · 23/12/2008 22:55

I do this a lot too and get a pizza or two in (one for Dcs and one for mums)

TBH they will play with new toys
[hopeful emoticon]
and you will have a natter!! Can I come??

palmtreeparadise · 29/12/2008 21:47

Hi

Try and hide half the toys otherwise you have to clear up for hours afterwards LOL.

Just coffee / squash / water / biscuits if you're feeling generous ;)
