Anyone else got a DC who does not like hot food

DD5 has never eaten hot food, we have to put out her food first to get cold before all of us eating together. If we don't she will just sit there till it gets cold. She has always been like this and it hasn't really bothered us but we always presumed she'd grow out of it, especially when she went to school. She is in Y1 at school now and nothing has changed, even though she sometimes complains she doesn't get to play at lunchtime (due to taking so long over her food). Sometimes the food is only luke warm and she will wince when eating it and spit it out.I have asked her why and she says it stings her tongue, it is not her teeth. Her only health problem is eczema and lately she has had that around her mouth but I don't know if that has anything to do with it. I have never come across any child with the same 'quirk', if that's what it is, and was wondering if anyone else had heard of it in kids?

My ds is the same, (hes now nearly 7 and will only just tolerate luke warm) to cool food down we use industrial supplies of tomato sauce or a small can of cold baked beans [blergh]

I blame myself though.. to cut corners when he was little I gave him stone cold jars of baby organix
