Is this a good sign? Or totally hopeless :-(

We are now on day 4 of potty training dd who is 2.1.

First day by wee 4 (I think) she did it on the potty when we sat her on. Day 2 we had about 50/50 success rate, again we were sitting her on. Yesterday again wees about 50/50 potty:floor but she started pooing again which she's been doing on the potty for a while.

This morning (day4) she did a wee and went straight to the potty saying 'done a wee' (but it was already on the floor so too late!)

Does this sounds like it's worth carrying on? She's figuring out the whole 'potty when I wee thing' but not realising she's weeing til too late.

I just want to give up DH is being fantastic with it all and he's off work wil New Year now so it's a good time in that respect but it means we can't really go anyway and I don't want to spoil his holiday.
