What shall I do with surprise children to look after tomorrow?

I'm taking DD1, 3.7 and DD2, 17 mths to DH's friend's house tomorrow where he's doing a charity bike ride with some friends, and I have suddenly discovered that I'm looking after a 6 yo girl and a 3 yo boy who is 'very lively', a euphemism if ever I heard one... and I have to keep them all alive for about three hours in someone else's house, inside as it's going to be a freezing wet day...

So, I figure I'll take the big Aquadraw, the mat with footprints that makes noises when you walk on it, lots of paper and crayons and pens (will walls be safe??), and some DVDs in case. Assume there will be a telly. Can anyone suggest anything else to keep kids from 18 mths to 6 happy in a strange room for three hours?

Have to admit, I just don't know ANYTHING ABOUT BOYS......... and I'm worried about it...

flour and water to make glue
old newspaper / magazines
roll of lining paper
big pen
balloons

you can either get the older ones to do papier mache over a blown up balloon or get them to lie down on the lining paper, draw round themselves and then glue ripped up newspaper and magazines to fill in their shape and make a life size piccie of themselves!

they'll probably come attached to some electronic gadget that they can't be peeled off anyway

Not sure about glue and almost complete stranger's unknown front room prob with nice carpet, would do that sort of thing happily at home. Kind of assume six year old will come with batteries. If I try musical bumps etc to wear out the lad maybe I'll just end up winding them all up... maybe I'm worrying about this way too much, it's just a surprise!
