asked dd to put the toy food away. is refusing and throwing things every where. she is 5. what do i do? she is very stubborn and has just given me a look for a 5 year old. apologies for no caps.

ask her what the problem is. she is a girl, she may actually tell you. if it's something daft be firm and take away the toy food for a week or so. if it's something else have a nice talk about it.

I asked her why she won't put the food away. She said her legs and arms and tummy hurt. That is her standard answer when she doesn't want to do anything.
