Leaky wonderoos - insert ideas

NappyObsessed · 06/12/2008 11:32

I've been using wonderoos on my 6 week DD but have had a couple of leaks at the legs. I think this may be because the newborn insert is a little on the small side. Has anyone any recommendations for other inserts I could use?

I have the microfibre inserts and they are very wet when I take them out. I'm changing around every 3 hours - do you think that is too infrequent?

Don't use wonderoo during the day, but I use the small insert boosted with mf cloth at night (about 7 hours straight) and no leaks (on 13 wk old dd), so might be worth a try (they're less that £1 for 3 in Tesco's)

I put the small mf insert in mine and it gets my DD (just coming up to 12w, sob!) through at least 4hrs and I have a feeling she's quite a heavy wetter.

Out of interest, has anyone got the hemp Wonderoo inserts? I was expecting them to be Wonderfulls, but mine say The Natural Baby Co on them, have I been sold duds? The tag says 55% hemp, 45% cotton or something like that, which I'm also surprised at, would've thought they'd be all hemp.

We had terrible probs with wonderoos (I have a stash that I have hidden away somewhere). Ds had very slim thighs in the first couple of months and he always leaked through the legs.

I did wonder whether the fit would improve as he grew but we always had problems with leaks, however we stuffed the nappy.

So I have been using other sorts, and trying the wonderoos periodically to see if the leaky leg problem has gone away. DS is now 6 months plus, so we are due for another experiment...I could just sell them on I suppose.

It could well be her size that is the issue.

Green Acre Designs inserts are much better than the wonderoo ones imo

Why do you think they are better Flame, are they a different shape?
