Home bargain had them for about £4 or £5

Make one.

Cut arm holes out a pillowslip, then cut it open up the front, like a long waistcoat, wear over dark long sleeved top and trousers.
Tie with curtain tie back.

Tea towel on head with plaited tights, to keep it on

Cuddly sheep under arm.

Bob's your uncle.

Darn you serin...that was my post

For a long 'frock' cut and old sheet in half, cut a head hole in the middle than same as serin

Broom handle for a staff

"Birthdays" card shop had them last year for about £8, (didn't have the crook + sheep though) but looked very nice!

Doesn't anyone think these shops are shamelessly profiteering and playing on the guilt of busy parents? Who had ever heard of buying a shepherd's outfit (or an angel's outfit or whatever) when we were kids?

Mummatoone - please please buck the trend (if that's what it is) and make one!

Tommy · 03/12/2008 23:27

lol

I notice the "Mary" costumes in these shops have silver/gold piping on them

onthewarpath · 04/12/2008 13:43

I would try ebay if I really did not want to make it or try to bribe a friend who is making one for own DC...
