Hello. DS (nearly 3) has just in the past few days very reluctantly started making number two's in the potty/toilet. Usually over week-ends he has two motions once in the morning and another in the evenings. But because for some or other reason he is petrified of making a number two in anything other than his nappy he goes on the toilet or potty only in utter desperation and then it's a fraction of what it would be if he went in the nappy.

So last night he had a fever and he puked and wet the bed. Today I kept him home and he was really antsy the whole day and now nearly two hours after putting him to bed he is crying as though he is in pain. Please can someone give me some advice? Thank you

just a thought - have you tried putting toilet roll in the potty for the poo to land on - then you can both look at it, he can flush the loo and say " bye bye poo!"
Does he still have a fever?
You mention pain - is he able to say where he is sore?
Does his tummy look bloated and tight?
Has he been sick again?
Has he been passing urine ok today?
Has he had a poo today?

No ideas, but my DD is nearly 3 and only goes a poo in a nappy...she does wees on the pottie or toilet...but will not entertain doing a poo on it.

I am not pushing it, she will do it in her own time, plus, dont want her to get an phobias about going to a number2.

Thank you very much ladies. We've done the toilet roll in the potty thing and we do make a huge deal about flushing which he enjoys. He doesn't have a fever and his tummy seems fine. He hasn't been sick again and he has been passing urine okay. He did do a very little poo on the loo before bedtime yes. Am I just being paranoid here?
