Thanks everyone.

We're spending a lot of time feeding so I have my laptop next to me and I type one-handed.

I am hoping it will get a bit easier when I am more awake and DS1 is a bit more relaxed around DS2.

Only a little post as I am shattered but will come in and catch up soon.

tracyface · 18/12/2008 23:01

Goodcgirl you do make me smile.Your dh sounds great I have to ask my oh to do something if I want him to. Apart from the kitchen he is quite fanatical about that so maybe I should have let him clean the tiles after our cooking session. Thats so sweet about your dd trying to keep her little sis happy on the way home in the car. Its a bit like a charlie and lola moment which I love and dream my children will be like one day.And I am a badcatholicgirl and living in sin

Kayzr - I agree with the others that you are doing really well to be managing to get on the laptop and sound coherent with such a tiny one . Hope you get some more sleep and enjoy your time resting feeding.

Evening, Ladies

Respect to you Tracyface from me as well - not just for having 5 DCs, but also for training them to look after themselves (and others). I was taught to be very independent and when I left home I was horrified to find that there were so many people who weren't. A good attractive feature in a partner as well

Oh my - high drama at the playgroup xmas party as one of the regulars went into prem labour and had to be whisked off in an ambulance to hospital. I do hope she's OK (and preferably that they manage to stop it). Fortunately, she had her partner with her, but he had to stay and look after the two LOs. It was a great party (the DCs were oblivious of the drama) and they gave a present of a recorded CD of the songs they sing so DD is really happy with it (much better than cheap plastic tat).

Kayzr - glad the feeding seems to be working out. I hope your LO is getting the idea now (I read your other thread - he was huge when he was born ).

Went for a long walk today in the woods, played on a slide and ate cake in a cafe - my DCs are most impressed (and were unusually well behaved in the cafe - something is not right )

Evening ladies from me too

We have had a lovely day, pilates was cancelled so went with the pilates girls for hot chocolate and croissants at the coffee shop - it was very nice and christmassy.

Other than that, the girls have been in a good mood today, and I am sat at the dining table whilst DH cooks dinner [girls in bed] and has the odd bout of dancing due to radio 1 playing in the background.

What are you all wearing for christmas day? Obviously Kayzr you will be wearing your little baby and perhaps a muslin square and of course a massive smile [fsmil e] I had ordered a mini dress/tunic from next but it may not arrive in time

BTW grrrl you are so right about having another baby - it would be a nightmare for us. We would need a new house (or build an extention) and - well - I don't know where by broodiness is coming from. Usually I am jumping for joy each time we are past the next baby stage with Izzy. But I am sure I will end up thinking about it again....

XmasFairyGrrrl · 20/12/2008 11:40

jewels- i can't actually say i ever give my Xmas day outfit much thought, but this year as we're going to FILs for lunch, i've bought a black dress and suede boots from Asos in the sale.

Sleep awful here again- George been fab, but Dylan is poorly (again)and sleeping horribly. I've had about 4 broken hours a night for a few nights now Had enough!

Just been and bought some nice cheese and creme liqueur for tonight. I'm going to have a bath with a Lush bathbomb, slip into something slinky and romance DH- we could do with cheering up! (Although we're meant to be shampooing the carpet tonight...not very raunchy is it?! )

Chaotica · 20/12/2008 17:59

Evening, Ladies

Grrrl - please tell me you're going to romance your DH and not shampoo the carpet tonight (unless you want to do both at once which would be strange )

I'm in a crap mood today - it might just be because I'm tired, or else it's toddler+headache (which is a serious condition ).

And I have a night alone tonight as DP has a gig in London. He doesn't do too many gigs now with the DCs so I wanted him to do it, but now I'm going to miss him and so are they. (I presume he won't be good for much tomorrow when he gets back - but it would good for one of us to have a night out.) It's a shame that I don't get to go to the gigs these days but we've nowhere we can leave the DCs overnight.

Don't know what I'm going to wear on xmas day. (I don't usually dress up anyway, but it would be nice to wear something other than the same old jeans.) Must try harder...

XmasFairyGrrrl · 21/12/2008 11:27

Chaotica- i can confirm my carpet has not been shampooed, and DH has been quite thoroughly romanced! What gig your DH going to?

goodchristmasgirl · 22/12/2008 09:00

I thought I might dress up as a fairy on Christmas day?

Oh no, sorry, that was DD1 , not me

kayzr · 22/12/2008 09:12

Morning,

Feeding is going ok. We have had to give Dylan Formula top ups but we should be able to stop giving him it on Wednesday.

I am finally excited about Christmas. I haven't been able to feel excited yet, what with being pg, having Dylan and then all the worries with his weight and feeding this last week.

Is everyone ready for Christmas?

Chaotica · 22/12/2008 11:57

Morning, All

Oh go on, GChristmasGirl - dress up as a fairy... (And I will too...)

Glad to hear things are better with the feeding, Kayzr. You have every excuse to do very little for christmas and let everyone else do it for you.

I'm not even slightly ready for christmas. Even worse - I have to write 4000 words by the end of the year... and they have to make sense ( again). I really should get going, although I'm not sure my brain works anymore. [panic emoticon]

Anyway, I survived the weekend although I took the DCs on a walk which nearly led to DD, me and the buggy getting stuck in a muddy forest much to our amusement. (We wouldn't have been amused, but I had some chocolate biscuits in my bag to reward the great adventurers...).

And I survived a night with DP away (I think DD was on good behaviour because she wasn't sure where DP was). (It was his own gig, Grrrl - when he's not playing the frazzled dad and wage-earner, he's a weird electronica musician and he was playing at a venue in the east end of London. Not that he gets any time to actually compose/rehearse these days but I don't want him to give it up just because we have kids.)

Jewelsandgems · 22/12/2008 19:20

Evening girls

wow get you chaotica! With your musician DP, does he like make songs for you and stuff?

Well I am ready for christmas, have ordered this to wear:

www.next.co.uk/shopping/women/casualwear/38/5 to wear with leggings/new skinny jeans.

Presents are wrapped except my dad's, my dad's from my mum (a huge picture I am storing at mine) and Izzy's shopping troller/walker - shold get that done tonight.

Food is bought, drink is bought, and I am totally looking forward to christmas day!! Yay!!!!

Am drinking Tesco's claret wine [surprisingly nice for something so cheap] and have just put the girls to bed [bliss emoticon] but it is looking like Freya will be missing the nap sooner that I had hoped. Currently, Izzy naps at 1pm-3pm and Freya 1.30pm-3pm but I think Freya will be moving to a 2-3 slot soon. And then none at all [arrrgh!]

What do you do with your DCs when they stop napping?!! Ideas please!

Chaotica · 22/12/2008 21:37

Evening, All.

Jewels - nice tunic/dress I am quite that you're all ready for xmas. I am so unready that it might as well be easter (although we have a tree with cool lights and stuff and I have the odd pressie stashed away).

...But I wrote 1000 words today and tomorrow I must be christmassy (and write another 1000 words).

DP got some cool extra big presents for the DCs today though.

(DP is not a famous musician, btw. More like one of those guys who's in danger of being discovered strumming guitar in a gutter at 80 and made into a superstar Although I do get the odd tune on his albums though, which is cool. And DD gets very proud when she says 'what's that music??' and finds out that it's daddy .)

Chaotica · 22/12/2008 21:37

Great news about the carpet, btw Grrrl

XmasFairyGrrrl · 23/12/2008 07:43

It is indeed Chaotica! Now that all the pregnancy / breastfeeding stuff is out of the way, it feels like things are getting back to normal. Yay!

Had a really tough few days. Both boys were very whingy hard work all weekend, and yesterday morning i felt down as soon as i got up. When i got home from work though, they were lovely- all silly and happy and cuddly- reminded me about all the good things. Anyway, slept alot better last night and turns out i have my period today, so maybe that didn't help how i was feeling.

Am off work until Monday Think i'll do some craft stuff with them today and watch a DVD.

I spoiled myself yesterday too- i'm not having anything for Xmas this year, so i bought myself some perfume, make up and tops in a sale. I didn't go too mad, but i shall feel very spoiled when they arrive today (paid for next day delivery as i felt so rubbish, i wanted them asap!)

Don't envy you having to write Chaotica- what's the topic? Trying to do my counselling cert when i was pregnant with Dylan was hellish. Am thinking about doing an Open Uni Business Cert at the end of the year- Dyl will be 2 then, so hopefully quite manageable

goodchristmasgirl · 23/12/2008 16:06

Love the tunic jewels. It's very 'me'.

My SIL has just had a baby (at 2pm today!!!) No. 4 for her [crazywoman emotion].
Little boy, no name yet.

Chaotica Good luck with your essay. I am so glad all that stuff is done with for me [smug] . People keep asking me if I would do a MSc and I just say 'not bloody likely'!!! I respect anyone who can study like that with kids.

SachaF · 23/12/2008 20:43

I'm wearing a Christmas outfit too this year, wanting to feel less like a sicked on/snotted on person! Already had Christmas part one with my in-laws - Ds got some happy town stuff and was happy to stay in today playing with that and his new drum kit . It's the first time we've spent a day entirely at home in the last 7 weeks (since dd was 6 weeks old and ds was driving me potty if we were at home) and it was really nice for once. I also felt less stressed and played with ds - we are going away for Christmas so I don't have to clean the house! (it's clean enough for us for now...)
Merry Christmas in advance everyone - we are away tomorrow.

Jewelsandgems · 23/12/2008 21:01

Merry Christmas sacha!! Hope you have a lovely time.

Well GCG tried on the tunic top and it is too big! And the smaller size is sold out I will have to opt for plan b (mad dash around the shops tomorrow? Can I be arsed?)

Went to my final per-christmas bodybalance class today and it was hard. I hurt like hell now and am finding it difficult to walk [feeling sorry for myself emoticon]

Well done of getting the work done chaotica and I am still at your talented DP

Off to eat quality street (orange cremes are my favourite)

night!

XmasFairyGrrrl · 24/12/2008 06:36

jewels, you are the only person i (sort of) know who likes the orange cremes! Blurgh!

Chaotica- i had a dream about you last night. We were both in a lecture, and the lecturer was John Sim

Kaybeeand2boys · 24/12/2008 08:08

Merry Christmas everyone
Sorry haven't had a chance to read any posts as tsill don't have internet.... but hope you're all well and enjoying the festive season xx

goodchristmasgirl · 24/12/2008 08:45

Orange creams . That's sick, not envy!!! Bleurghhhhh! Agree with Grrrl

Have a lovely Christmas everyone!!!!!!!

GCG xxx

XmasFairyGrrrl · 24/12/2008 09:43

Yes, Happy Xmas girls. I have a feeling this Xmas is going to be the best yet for us here- can't wait. xxx

kayzr · 24/12/2008 10:42

Oooh orange cremes are gorgeous!!!

Its nearly Christmas!!!!!

I'm really looking forward to it as DS1 will understand it a bit more than he did last year.

Hope you all have lovely days tomorrow.

tracyface · 24/12/2008 13:08

Hi girls , we have had a mad potty sesion on and off it all morning with Melissa, but finally she has been and now I can hit the shops. I must be mad as I dont really need anything as I am all set but feel the need to get my self something to wear as I too think I should make a bit of an effort.

Hope you all have a lovely day tomorrow and catch up after christmas xx

Chaotica · 24/12/2008 14:43

Merry Xmas All!

Grrrl - John Sim? That's funny.

I like orange cremes too - is that wrong??

XmasFairyGrrrl · 25/12/2008 05:37

I know bugger all about philosophy i'm afraid Chaotica, although i'm sure you know plenty!

I'm a bit hungover- DH and I got drunk watching CSI and ended up playing in the kids giant rocket once we'd built it

Having a cup of tea and some tablets before the monkeys get up, then off to PIL for lunch. And i'm driving back- eek! I hardly ever drive so always get nervous before hand.

Merry Xmas all!

PS I got one present after all, my friend bought me a bottle of pink gin
