Are Blueberry Minky & Itti Bitti worth the money?

They seem horribly expensive so I'm assuming that they are the best nappies in the world! But are they?!

Yep, they're the best.
We've tried almost everything and these are both favourite. I think I prefer Itti Bitti d'lish of the two: trimmer fit and cheaper. You can buy extra inserts too and reuse the outer part if it isn't manky dirty

I wouldn't our entire nappy collection to consist of bbs and ittis though; fuzzis and bgs have their place too

luuuurve my blueberry minkis- they have the oooooh factor- i could snuggle the girls bums for HOURS!!!!!

lollipopmother · 29/11/2008 13:58

Haha, I've never seen a fleece outer before, I don't quite get the reason behind it. I love some of the patterns on the Blueberries, but the price puts me off, I don't understand why they are so expensive!

they are expensive because they are minki soft luxury. I loved my sidesnap ones but found the aplix went bg curly on the onesizes. Minkytimes by Greenkids are same material, lovely and a toot cheaper

I think BumGenius are better than Itti Bitti's but Itti Bitti's are certainly the cutest nappies in the world. Not tried blueberry minkis.

swampster · 29/11/2008 21:58

I can not believe I put that apostrophe in!

TWICE!

[bangs head on wall]!

Flamesparrow · 29/11/2008 22:50

wee notions minkee - much better plan

thisisyesterday · 29/11/2008 22:51

they arten't the BEST nappies inb the world.

but blueberry minkys are bloody lovely

Flamesparrow · 29/11/2008 22:53

Blueberries have been overhyped imo, and because the UK market is controlled, they can put the prices however insanely high they like

thisisyesterday · 29/11/2008 22:56

but they're sooooo cute.
and I am an agent for babykind so got money off.
wouldn't have probably bought them full price

I thought that Itti Bittis were supposed to be uber-slim, are Bumgenius slim too then?

Swampster - I just had the urge to write Itti Bitties, I'm really not sure what the plural of a Bitti is, Bittis just doesn't seem right!

itti bitti's are not expensive, they're really economical if you buy the extra booster sets. If you think about the fact that you don't need extra wraps, then they are really quite cheap, it's as if your 'nappy' (i.e. booster set) is £5.75 and your 'wrap' is £7.25 (i.e. £13-£5.75). If you bought a two-part system say tots bots or motherease you would pay more than that.

They are uber-slim, and just gorgeous. just watch out you don't spoil the outers, as I have been a bit stupid (leaving them on radiators and forgot to get them out before a tumbledry) and they're leaking now. I like them so much I've bought the next size to see DS until potty-training.

swampster · 30/11/2008 14:57

BumGenius are fairly slim but a bit bigger all over - Itti Bittis are minute. Itti Bittis are nappies you could sit there stroking for hours if you were weird (like me) but it would be hard to fall in love with a BumGenius - I just find them uber-practical, simple, absorbant and idiot MIL-proof.

swampster · 30/11/2008 14:59

and MrsJamin is right, Itti Bitti outers can be reused and if they need a wash, they dry in record time so a few extra boosters and you are well away...

I just got a pre-loved Blueberry Side Snap in chocolate with pink spots and I am in love , if anyone wants to part with theirs I shall bite their arm off for it!

I just got an itti bitti d'lish and it is lovely!
Also got a few bumgenius and they're quite nice too - plenty of room so I'm confident they will last til potty time.
