Why would a boy search for penis on the net?

I was just on youtube looking for a karate kata comp and when I typed "boy's ... " in a suggestion came up saying "Boy's penus"

It was actually spelt like that. Is this a YouTube suggestion based on popular searches (!) or does this mean that has been typed in before on our PC?

I would expect my 10 year old to be able to spell "penis" right but then I wouldn't expect my 8 year old to use the apostrophy so if it was one of them, I have no idea which.

Why would they search for that?

Because they want to know if theirs looks 'normal'?

I used to look up all the rude words I could in the dictionary (and thesaurus) and probably would have looked online had it been available in the stone age.

I found my just five year old searching for 'poo' and 'wee' on Google! Thank heaven for safesearch, eh?

Most likely because its funny to use 'naughty' words. Type them, write them, use them to embarrass your parents at the most inapropriate moment. Probably not because they were really searching.

Yes it means someone has typed it before into the search engine, I would'nt worry about it to be honest, all part of growing up

I was just wondering if he was curious. I think he may be gay (eldest) but am unsure as to whether it is too early to tell. I suppose I'm worried about him searching for stuff on the net, for one thing he could come across anything and secondary...if ever the PC went in to be prepared and they find "boy's penis" type searches, I'll have the police knocking at my door!

I remember looking up interesting or slightly risque words in a dictionary when I was 6 or 7. I think it's healthy and normal, and would be chuffed about the apostrophe

mrs snape, afaik the youtube suggestion box refers to actually clips that are on you tube. It doesn't refer to things you have searched for before. I also have 'boy's penus'! in my suggestion box and I am anal about resetting my browser every time I log off (plus hardly anyone else uses my computer)
