DD 19 months and real nappies not seeming absorbent enough anymore

Anyone else experienced this? I've tried 3 different sizes (including different brands) of wraps to see if it is just that I'm not getting a good seal (she has thin legs). But they keep leaking, have to change soggy tights all the time, fed up with it in this cold weather and have been using (biodegradeable) disposables for the last week.

I had a similar issue around 8 months when she seemed to be between sizes and had her in disposables for about a month before moving back into my lovely washables. But now she is in the biggest size, so there is nothing else to go up to so not sure where to go next, bar having another crack at potty training or keeping her in disposables.

What nappies and wraps are you using? You should be ble to continue with cloth for a good while yet - I've had a 3yo in cloth and DD2 is 2.6 and still cloth bummed

Well that's what I thought - seems a bit early for them to be failing on me. They are Modern Baby (the old sort). Have tried two different Modern Baby wraps with them and a Motherease one too, but just keep getting leakage after an hour or so.

Can't get anything done if I am having to change nappy + tights + vest every hour so have relented and put her in the others for the last few days.

I gather bamboo nappies are far far more absorbent (ours are cotton) so I wonder whether I should invest in a few of those for when we are going out.

DD is tall and thin so getting a good seal around the legs is always a challenge, but other than that we have loved our cloth nappies with a passion. Don't want to give up on them just yet.
