Question about Primary PGCE work experience in school

I have managed to get a two-week placement in a local primary school, which I need before I can apply for a PGCE. I still have to do the school-run for the dss in the morning and afternoon so will get into placement school a little bit late and leave a little bit early. Do you think that will be a problem? Should I inform them now or wait until I actually start?

If you're only observing rather than teaching, I can't see that it would be a problem, as long a you explain. I'd tell them sooner rather than later.
