Fluffing up bamboo nappies

2cats2many · 23/11/2008 20:00

I use Baby Beehinds and they're starting to get a bit hard after lots n lots of washes. They must feel a bit rough against my babie's little bottoms.

Does anyone have any hints for how best to fluff them up and make them a little softer?

Thanks

Soaking in white malt vinegar - put nappies in the nappy bucket, add 500ml vinegar, top up with water, leave overnight, rinse then quick wash. Adding a glug of this vinegar to each wash will help keep them soft.

One off tumble dry would also help (if you don't have a drier maybe you could as to borrow a friends). You don't need to dry them completely, you can line dry at first then tumble them for 10 mins to finish them off (works well on my cardboard hemp nappies).

Leaving them out in the rain also helps.

If you left them out in the rain all day, soaked them in vinegar overnight then tumbled them they'd probably be like (or better than ) new

Thanks! I shall be trying all of the above.
