Ready to start potty training

My DD is nearly 18months and now when she farts or wee's says she has poo'd.......also knows that winnie the pooh is "poo'.......so not sure if she is just confused or trying really hard....I have offered her the potty (last 2 months every time she looks like she is "straining" but so not interest so not sure if it is her word development or geniune ready to start......

i think its great that shes showing an interest but to me it doesnt sound like shes quite ready yet

I would just leave a potty around and encourage her to sit on it but not go straight for potty training. DD2 is 22mths and at 18mths insisted on having her nappy changed telling us she was having a poo[even if it was a wee] and wanted to copy dd1 so we left her bare bottomed in the house and within 4 days she was reliable at home. Out of the house she is generally reliable unless distracted.
