I have recently noticed that my little girl has a completely white tongue. We started her on cows milk about 2 weeks ago and she was 1 on 4th November. I'm really worried. Does anyone know what this is?

Might just be the milk, as it does leave a coating. If it's still there a long time after she last had something milky/if there are 'patches' on the inside of her cheeks that won't rub off/if her mouth seems sore, it might also be thrush...not major, GP can prescribe anti-fungal medicine.

Sounds like thrush.

You can get ointment or drops (not sure if prescription is required).

Both my dc's had this when they were newborns and it took a while to go but have been fine since.

Oral Thrush. Really coomon esp if child has dummies.
