Recommend a child development/pscyhology text book.

Need a book that covers psychological and/or sociological theories concerning children.

Any recommendations?

I have 'the development of children' Cole and Cole. Ok for me but I haven't really compared it with others.

I've bought Laura E. Berk - Child Development. It's expensive though but worth it.

Thanks, have booked both from library.
