Babywearing and visiting the loo?

I have been seriously considering a sling, rather than pushchair for when popping to town on the bus.
But how can I visit the loo with DS tied to me? I can't put him on the floor! Why didn't I think of this before I looked at all the lovely slings?!

Maybe I shouldn't, but I just go wearing the little one. OH thinks it's terrible (but funny) but what's the alternative?

You could use the loo in a baby change and pop DC on the change map with the strap thing, but it would be easier just to go IMO.

I go to the loo with him in a sling - why not? Its not like you pee upwards onto the baby! And I am sure you wash your hands!

I had a hugabug with ds2 and just walked into the loo with him still in it, did the business and left!

(even in Harrods toilet last Christmas and got talking to a lovely lady about the sling I used)

Yep, just keep him in there

I used to go to the loo with my babies in their wilkinets. Move their feet so they dangle further forward and that's it.

wastingmyeducation · 15/11/2008 21:24

Oh, I don't think I'd be able to physically do that. Got short arms. Hmmm...

Tis a bugger doing up your jeans afterwards though (or maybe my children are just taller than most?) If you've got a front sling you have to negotiate your hands underneath the child's legs. Oh and if you have them in a back sling you have no sodding chance unless you can stoop and have a skirt on!

mymblemummy · 15/11/2008 23:50

Erm, I have no problem going to the loo with either a front or a back carry.

I am extra careful that I don't walk out with my skirt tucked in my knickers though.

Haven't yet...
