Are there such things as cordless lamps?

I'd love a lamp on my new side board however the plug socket is on a "showing wall" and the wire would stretch across and look unsightly.

Does anyone know if you can get cordless lamps that are sounds stupid - battery operated etc...

I will watch this with interest as have often wondered same thing. I hate trailing wires!

Actually, if you search 'battery operated (table) lamp', there are a few things but nothing particularly attractive imvho. Mostly clip-on type things or camping lights.
