Have been changing DS (1 mth +) every feed even if no poo because he tends to make very heavy nappies, roughly every 4 hours. Hates being changed and ends up wakeful. Tried to skip a feed but ends up soaking through nappy etc then even worse disturbance having to change wet clothes! Using disposables right now - any recommendations? Double up nappies?

use a bigger size dispie and a sanitary towel or bigger cloth with double boosters?

every 4 hours sounds about normal (I probably changed more often than that at that age) - you could try changing before the feed and then you wouldnt wake him after his feed.
