Does it matter that DD won't wear knickers?

DD1 is 2.9 and after some attempts we have left ehr to potty train on her own, and over the last few days she has suddenly realised that weeing in potty = chocolate and praise.
She is happy to wander around in her trousers and sometimes asks for a nappy, but takes it off before she wees in it, but she absolutely will not wear knickers.
I have got night garden ones, peppa pig and all sorts, and she is all enthusiasm in teh shop but then just freaks out.
I hjave also bought 4-5yr ones so they are really baggy and not digging in.

So, does it matter? I just think it must be uncomfy with seams etc of her jeans but she doesn't seem to care!
opinions? Advice? am I being silly?!

my ds2 prefers to go bare.its only a problem when we need to leave the house.hes better using the potty without anything.if he has pants and trousers on he tends to leave it too late or not even bother saying he needs to go.im a bit worried about when he starts nursery though!

Nah, if she doesn't want to then leave it. She might be happier in "pants" type ones rather than knickers though - H&M ones are really nice without that silly frilly elastic round the top, all properly turned in and comfy

You'll have to mention it to nursery though or they very politely inform you that your child is there with no underwear

THanks, lukcily she won't be starting nursery until next year so I havea few months. None of her knickers have frills, they are all plain knickers, if with characters all over, but shorts might work, shall have a look.

She did manage to go all day today with no accidents, she did about 9 wees and 2 poos! we ran out of chocolate, but luckily she is not that bright and thinks apricots are better

She has picked the worst weekend for it as we have to go out a lot, but I shall take my travel potty to the park and cross my fingers...
