I've just found out I'm pg with no 3, ds1 will be just 3yrs and ds2 18 months when lo is born - I was estatic when I saw the line on pg test but now panic is starting to set in slightly and I'm wondering how I'll cope.

Does anyone have any top tips? anything I can do now to make the transition easier. DS's due to start sharing a room in the new yr and we're looking for a car that can have 3 baby seats in but thats as far as I've got!

This is prob the worst bit - being pg with 2 small children as I'm tired and hormonal, at the moment I feel like I'm spreading myself too thinly between the boys and I'm back at work in a couple of weeks - did you ever worry about not spending enough quality time with each child or does it just work out ok as they get older? ds's 2.5yr and 11 mo so at moment are into different things

Congratulations! Insy, when are you due? I was so shocked when i found out i was pg with No3 we didn't tell anyone for ages. I was in denial for about 2 months! But once we told everyone as you said it becomes real! There are times when it is so hard, but it is so worth it! We keep talking about No4, so it can't have been that bad! Enjoy being pg aswell as you miss it! It does feel like you've been pg forever though! lots of luck x

thanks kathryn, I'm due around 21st June. I'm slowly telling people now and told some friends who have 3 with 2 yrs between each, they are now 6,8 and 10 and they were really laying on how great it is now but how hard the first yr was... started me panicking slightly again!

also worked out 3 in childcare almost wipes out my pay but I have to go back and we'll need a very very cheap car that we can fit 3 child seats in - any ideas? would love a touran but out of our budget - we've only got about £1.5k to spend as I don't want finance

i have 3 boys but bigger gaps
2.5 years between ds1 and ds2 and 3.5 years between ds2 and ds3 (who is 10 weeks)

just wanted to say congrats and that three is great - its the 'new 2.4' dont you know

popsycal · 23/11/2008 20:42

we got a picasso in july and love it

kathrynharriet · 23/11/2008 22:33

We've got a picasso at the mo and its a good car, fits 3 car seats in. But one of the mums at play group has a Fiat multipla, lots of people hate them but it is so practical as it has 6 seats, very handy as on days out we tend to take my mum! (extra pair of hands!) They are fairly cheap, i looked into changing mine for the extra room. Second hand cars are sooo cheap at the moment, so shop around and offer cash and you should get a good deal! x

DD was 2 when the dts were born and we got a Toyota Verso, 3 seats across the back no probs, and 2 spares in the boot.

insywinsyspider · 25/11/2008 19:44

thanks for car ideas - I looked on auto trader but the picasso and verso are about £5K and I only have £1.5K, any further ideas? maybe I need a big estate...
