right you lot. advice please.

been hoping to start using real nappies for ages now. dd2's navel has been slow healing so stay in paper. it 'looks' dry now. what should i see /not see in order to let me know it is ok to start real nappies? she is now 6 wks.

I used cloth from birth with DS without any problems but he didn't have a slow healing naval. I think the cloth nappies helped with the healing - the paper ones seemed to rub on the DDs and make them a bit sore - so you may find cloth helps (?).

I would say that as long as you change her quite frequently at first you should be fine. The only issue I can think of is an incredibly wet nappy being wet all up the front and her having urine against her tummy - if you change her often that shouldn't happen though.

Maybe try her in one and keep and eye on how she goes - or ask your HV (guessing her advice will be swayed by her opinion of cloth a bit though).

She's very cute btw - like you sling too

HTH (although not sure it does much )
