Hi,

Not sure if this is the right place for this but I wasn't sure where to put it. Does anyone have any tips for good videos/dvds for 15mo dd? We only really want 1 or 2 as in general she's happy playing, it's only really for when all 3 of us are too tired. We live in Belgium and don't really get any decent kids tv so I have no idea what's good at the moment.

We were thinking along the lines of songs & music rather than stories although I guess she'll grow into them soon enough. And ideally they would be smething we can order off amazon as it'll be difficut to get them in english here.

Any ideas???? Thank you!

We have an animated film called 'The Bear' based on the book by Raymond Briggs (of Snowman fame). Its lovely.

As is The Snowman too.

Something Special is excellent - the communication is very clear, it has good themes, and introduces Makaton signing if thats of interest.

A Day Full of Fun and A Day Full of Surprises and Songs are both really good. (I got them from Amazon) All my dcs have loved them. They're of kids singing classic nursery rhymes and songs, not too irritating or cheesy. They are a bit dated in terms of outfits on the kids but your dd won;t notice .

Night Garden is also FAB - 22mo ds2 loves it and has done for a while.

Balamory was a big hit with ds1 and dd at about that age too.

dp loves watching In the Night Garden with 18 month old DS. I prefer the Teletubbies episodes - I think ds is happy enough with either, and there's a few of each available from Amazon.

DS LOVED Pingu at that age - still does. Love that is just 5 minute shows so not like they will watch too much tv...
