34 is a young spring chicken!

I'm 42 and in the 3rd year of my OU degree, so if you think 34 is old, I must be a dinosaur.

34 is still young! It took me 5 years from start to finish and that included a year out (so 4 years actual studying). I will be 35 when I finish my Masters (which I started this month).

Last month I started my first course. I have worked out it will take me 8 years to get a full degree. I will be 60!! Eeeeeek!

Why does it take so long through the OU? I'm thinking about starting a degree but I worked out it would take me about 6 years to complete through the OU which puts me off a bit.
