Smelly washing machine after doing DS2's nappies

I did a prewash this morning, then a washa t 60 with extra rinse and the machine really spoilt of pooh when I opened it. Currently using Persil and a few drops of tea tree oil when I remember (not today). Are the nappies clean and what can I do to get rid of the smell?

DS2 is 3 and I really wish he would stop pooing in his nappy!!!

TIA.

Do you empty to poo down the loo?

White vinegar in the softer draw should help with the nappies themselves. It's always worth running your machine empty on a very hot wash every couple of months to clean it.

Do you use liquid or powder detergent? A lot of people find that liquid makes the machine smelly.

Yep, all the poo goes down they loo though inevitably there is some on the nappy.

I do a clean once a month on 90.

I use powder atm.

It is a mystery and it is only when I do the nappies.
