Advice needed for childcare while studying?

I am looking into do a diploma in photography, and the college I have spoke to can offer me a place starting Jan but not childcare. They are a small college and do not have a nursery or funding for childcare, but can be flexable on the amount of classes I take per week.

I am finding it very difficult to find out how to get funding for chldcare. It seems if I was doing a degree it would be easier to get chilcare funding.

Has anyone been in this position? Or have any ideas of where to look forthe answers?

I have tried my local council who can only fund me for childcare untill March but only if I find someone who can fund it after that.

Have you tried tax credits, or citizens advice ?
I'm a cm and have minded for student parents before, not doing degrees, and their collegs just paid me direct. Seems really unfair that yours won't. Any other way you can do a similar course in a college or way that can fund you ?

I will try citizens advice, I never thought of that.

The other colleges I have spoke to will not accept anyone for the course I want to do untill next september, so I would have a long wait.

Being a full timer with a three year old its actually far from simple claiming for childcare! I hear I will get the money eventually.... Am £200 down since term started. Bloody Student finance direct!
