Hey mums
So I just read that thread "anyone else started potty training moral support needed"
great stories but I need to knowhow to do it.

DD age 2.2 is very clever and will say when shes done poo and needs changed and a great talker. Thing is she gets superbad nappy rash so we are desperate to get her out of nappies/pullups.

OK so today day1- couldn't give a care if shes wet or has droopy panties from poo.
Soooo from the thread should I have her naked from waist down? I did find a few times b4 the bath if she was naked she would throw a fit cuz she had to wee and wouldnt until we put a pull up on...so she should go on the pottybecause she doesnt want to wee just anywhere.
She watches me go and flushes for me and eveythign so she does get it.
just please some one give me your methods and how you overcame obsticles like not caring when wet..because eventually I have to leave this house and she will have to wear undies...
HELP thnaks
Oh and while training you do put a pull up on for nap and bed right...
omg so juvinile on this arnt I...

Methodology from Potty Training In A Day is that they teach a toy how to use the potty. (I wouldn't expect it to actually take a day, of course.) This takes advantage of the fact that they learn best from a peer and that everyone learns best when they teach something. You can use a favourite toy or you can have her even instruct you!

You familiarise her with the potty (DD this is the potty, you use it to wee and poo, etc.) but personally I think it's best if you don't do the whole "You may never again wee in a nappy" as it can be very, very disturbing for some who don't adapt as well. Then you talk about her using it and as long as there's no resistance, you then start a new day with her teaching the doll/teddy/mummy how to use the potty in the morning. By the afternoon you suggest she have a go.

Good luck!
