Is there anything I can buy to put on my oven door so it's not hot to touch?

Well that's it really.

My oven sits on the floor and the glass door gets very hot.

I plan to keep dd out of the kitchen as much as possible but want to prepare for all eventualities?

Would a fireplace guard be any help?

You can buy oven guards for the door, the likes of babydan.

Have to get one myself.

I'm not sure a fire guard would work, my kitchen is quite small and the oven sits flush with the worktop so a fire guard would cut out th use of most of my cupboards!

I was wondering if there was a sheet of something that sticks to the glass IYSWIM?

If there's not someone should invent one
