Started my DD potty training on Tuesday and she was doing really well but not pooing. By Friday she was not having accidents and was telling me when she needed a wee but still not had a poo. On Saturday got her some lactulose as she was really uncomfortable, still no poo. On Sunday had horrific day she was whiny and asking to go to the toliet every 2 mins but wouldn't poo. I looked and could see poo but she would not try and have one. In the end I had to hold her down on potty until had poo. She felt better but then at lunch today started again asking for toilet all the time. She went daily for a poo before potty training. Poo was solid last night then did a really wet one. What can I do!!

Will she poo in her nappy? It might just be that she is anxious about going on the potty. My dd was the same and will only poo in her nappy, I think she will go on the toilet when she is ready (she is 2.5yrs). Are you still putting nappys on at bedtime/ nap times so she has the opportunity to go then?

She won't even go in nappy. She still wears nappy at bedtime and will wee in that but won't poo at all! She is 2.4yrs and is fine with weeing on toilet now just hols everything else in!

Dunno then, just keep giving her lots of fruit to make sure she isn't constipated, maybe chat to hv to get their opinion xX
