potty taining 3 3/4 yr old

i know its quite late but hes a boy, lazy and doens't care if he is in wet nappy all day!! decided to crack it this weekend. yeasterday kept putting him on toliet every hour and he did do 2 wees and poo. today said he had done a wee and got him to toilet and he did it in their so that seems like good progress. but then did big poo in pants urrgghh. disgusting. is this normal? am i expecting to much after 1 day even though he is 3 3/4?

it has nothing to do with age but the ability to know when they need the toilet and be able to hold it

i think he has done extremely well

i would expect more accidents its ok just take straight to toilet dont get cross and say we must do it on the toilet next time in calm voice

i always so oh never mind darling good boy for trying my ds is 3.6 and dry in day now but wont poo on toilet but thats ok things happen when the time is right you cant force it to happen
