Hi, am about to be first time mum, my oh is from Ghana and his whole family speak fluent Twi. When I go back to work after about 9 months my MIL will be looking after my LO, she doesnt speak very much English at all and I understand next to no Twi. Do you think hearing one language there and one at home with confuse the LO? Or is there anyone out there who speaks Twi and can advise?

I don't speak any Twi at all and am just a dad, not an expert, but me and my partner speak different languages (French and English) to our daughter and she hasn't looked confused yet (she's 9 mths old). Whether she'll manage to speak both is another thing, but I suppose that's a different question. She certainly doesn't seem unhappy ...
