ds has been invited to his first ever halloween party today, present or no present?

sorry if this sounds a bit dim, but this is also the first toddlers halloween party dh and i have ever been to....

anyway i have a massive bag of halloween sweets to take with, however, dh has asked if i have got present for the little host, i don't but is that necessary??? we're out shopping this morning anyway so not too late if yes!
