Stupid question - how often should you clean a potty, and how?

Have bought some potties in preparation for training DS - don't think we will attempt it any time soon, but I was just wondering - how do you guys clean the potties and how often? Obviously after each poo but after each wee as well? And do you just wipe them down with wipes or something stronger?

after each use (of whichever variety!), i used to empty it and give it a spritz with bathroom cleaner stuff and wipe it round with kitchen roll.

same as the others - spray and wipe and good clean once a week.
