The kids are in their room SCREAMING about bedtime. I don't know what to do.

DS was happy going up.

DD on the other hand did NOT want to go. Just kept yelling at us "I want to be downstairs".

We gave up, shut the door and walked away.

Do I listen to the yelling, screaming and sobbing or is there something I should do?

They are both absolutely exhausted.

They share a room?

FlameBitesHeadsOffSparrows · 20/10/2008 19:04

Yup, they share a room.

DD just opened her door and called that she is sorry

She has given me a hug and gotten into bed all nice and fine now

DS is crashing about up there though as he is now awake

She calmed, then he started yelling, then she started up again.

So I have now lost it. Yelled at them. Told them all about the baby next door trying to sleep (who must have appreciated me yelling ) and I think scared em enough not to move again tonight.

My poor neighbours They have the choice of yelling children or yelling parent. No wonder they are selling.

when ds 4 insists on staying up past bedtime dh and i say sorry we are all off to bed and switch off everything downstairs and get into bed...nice to have a cuddle anyway!

it always works (we have maybe done it 3 or 4 times)

then there is no appeal to be downstairs...if your dd is much older then not too sure this would work
