DS2 has insisted he wears pants tonight.

He went to the loo and emptied both bladder and bowel and there is a 100% chance he wouldn't have done that before I put his nappy on, if I hadn't have said.

He has said he poos his nappy when he is awake but I have no way of knowing if this is true. His nappy is wet every morning and sometimes dirty too. On that basis I wouldn't say he was ready, along with DS1 being 7 before he was dry at night and DD who is 5 who has done 1 dry night this week but is still in pyjama pants, but he really didn't want his nappy on to the point he kicked DH when he went to put the wrap on after I had put the nappy on.

We tried lifting DS1 twice but it didn't work as he didn't wake or wee, and I don't think it helps them anyway.

I will be amazed if he is dry in the morning and will be annoyed I didn't do it sooner I guess.

imnotmamagbutshelovesme - I'd let him have a go! What age is he? So long as you have matress protection and plenty of spare bed clothes go for it! Night time pants are great... but so too is a child's determination that he wants to try!!

Good luck with it!
