Hiring a babysitter for the 1st time... what to ask

We're going to a wedding on the weekend and DS (2.4) is coming with us to the church, then will go back to the hotel and be looked after by a babysitter while we're at the reception.
He's never been looked after by a 'stranger' before (we don't have enough of a social life to have ever had to hire a babysitter before!!) and when grandparents babysit, it's usually when he's already asleep.
Just wondering if I should write down his bedtime routine for the babysitter, so he gets an aproximation of what happens at home. He speaks very well, so won't be shy about telling her what he wants, but our friends 6mth DD will also be there so the babysitter could be quite busy if the baby is still awake.
What's the usual procedure when briefing babysitters?
TIA
