British Sign Language

I have taught my baby to sign using abbreaviated British Sign Language to help him to commuinicate to me before he can speak. I chose to use pure British sign language as it is the 4th language of Britian with 70000 people using this as a first language. I also thought it would be good for when he is older and he can learn more. Now ITV have a fantastic brilliant website ITVbabysign that only uses British Sign Language but they are at the same time promoting a baby signing class that uses makaton which confused me a great deal. I know of classes that use British sign language and I feel that ITV baby sign should promote these classes and not be contradicting other than that the site is good.
