Can anyone please advise me on which is the best brand of POCKET nappies? I have a very active 12 month old boy!! and would like to try reuseable nappies - i have up till now only used disposable nappies
I have been told that POCKET nappies are easy to use - can anyone give me some advise and or knowledge on the following brands: BumGenius, Fuzzi Bunz & Wonderoos...

Thanks

tbh if you're going to go for pocket nappies the best thing to do is jusy buy and try. They are one of the most leak-prone nappy types so the key to success is to find a nappy that is cut to suit your DCs shape. Once you've found the right one then you'll probably never look back as they tick all the boxes, thin fitting, quick drying, easy to use.

That said certain brands are generally reliable- BumGenuis and Wonderoos.

I use Fuzzi bunz with DS and used to use them for DD2 - they are very different in shape but fuzzis suited them both. Wonderoos work well with both too. Pocket Bots are my favourite...

If you're happy to do so I'd recommend you buy a few different types second hand to try out.

Nappyzone is a MNetter who gives free advice and sells loads of different pocket nappies - free delivery option too...

That's the key - the different brands are cut differently, you just have to find the brand that is cut to suit your son. Bumgenius and Wonderoos tend to suit most people and don't leak (but there will always be some people who find they don't work for them). My Fuzzi Bunz and Wonderoos never leak for us - other people find fuzzis are more prone to leaking.

That's why I suggest you try one or two of each brand you fancy to see which suits you best.

DS = darling son
DD = Darling daughter,
DD2 darling daughter number 2 etc

Don't be about it all though - when I started on parenting forums I wondered why on earth everyone was referring to 'darling' daughters etc - all seems very posh and polite . Far more likely in our house would be BM1, GM2 etc (Boy-Monster 1, Girl-monster 2, etc).

As an aside 2 part shaped nappies (i.e a shaped fabric nappy plus a wrap) is a very reliable option - but I understand you want something that will go on very quickly with your wriggler....

I like the wonderoos and would even use them as a night time nappy occasionally. I have tried a few different pocket types - bumgenius, greenkids, fuzzi bunz, WAHM but like the wonderoos as they suit my dd's shape better. As BBM says its a good idea to try each nappy to see what suits your ds
