DD went to my friend's DDs 2nd birthday party - should i write a thank you letter for my DD to hers?? My friend posted a formal invitation through our door...

Not sure about etiquette!

No

She should thank DD for coming and for the present

Hulababy · 17/10/2008 17:59

No, for parties like thus, it's for the host to write a thank you for any gift you took with you.

I assume you and/or DD said thanks for inviting me at the party anyway.

Agree; it's not for you to say thank you after the event - assuming you said 'thanks for inviting me' whilst there.

Ta very much - I did say thank you at the time and a follow up text afterwards too.

Btw - how much is a reasonable amount to spend on a 2nd birthday pressie?
