Tesco essentials ones good, also Lidl and Aldi, though dd has outgrown size 5's in theres,Tescos a bit more roomy.

RubySlippers · 16/10/2008 20:29

Lidl

IAteDavinaForDinner · 16/10/2008 20:30

ASDA. Better than any of the expensive brands, or the other supermarkets. They're softer than the other brands and really gentle around the thighs, and really absorbent too. Tesco ones are passable, but more like Huggies with a high waistband.

Sainsburys little ones dry and v good and get DD (2) through the night with no leaks even when she does a 3am megapoop (her speciality )

Lubyloo · 16/10/2008 20:33

Tescos are great (the purple packets)

wheniwasyoung · 16/10/2008 20:33

Pe-loved washables.

SummerChicken · 16/10/2008 20:53

Lidl's! I actually prefer them to Huggies or Pampers.

Ohforfoxsake · 16/10/2008 20:58

I would have said Lidl, but they seem to have changed them lately and they aren't as good.

mumma2cjh · 16/10/2008 21:19

DS ot of nappies but my vote is Tesco's they were fab, also used the Pull ups as far better than Pampers/Huggies

Yurtgirl · 16/10/2008 21:24

tesco value - £2 for 20 - white packets
I think they are fab for what they are

except for reusables of course

Plonker · 16/10/2008 21:32

Tesco.

Wouldn't buy any others now.

jasmeeen · 16/10/2008 21:34

Lidl. I've tried all brands with both my DS and always swore by Pampers until I tried Lidl. Was v sceptical but totally converted now.

qwertpoiuy · 17/10/2008 07:01

Lidl's are far more absorbent than any of the rest, even Pampers. My DD loves drinking bottles at night (bad habit, I know!) and wets her nappy so much she was leaving a huge wet patch in the middle of our bed every night (yes, she co-sleeps too!). That problem has been eliminated since we changed to Lidl's Toujours nappies. Plus they're half the price of Pampers.

FourArms · 17/10/2008 07:14

I love Pampers best. However, also highly rate Lidl's (although not tried them for a while), Tesco's and Morrisons' nappies. Hate Sainsburys' nappies.

Tesco value nappies were fab when DS1 couldn't poo in the loo, so literally wanted a nappy on for a poo.

WalkerBurnie · 17/10/2008 15:52

Aldi are very good and Tesco. I don't like Boots, found they leaked

bikerunski · 17/10/2008 17:11

I hate Asda nappies, v stiff and leaky.

simpson · 17/10/2008 17:40

Definately Lidl

Tescos and boots are good too. The tesco value ones (in white packet) gave DS terrible nappy rash though so used the purple packet ones instead.

TheDevilWearsPrimark · 17/10/2008 17:41

Lidl or 'bestbuy'

But better to ask on freeycle for washables.

PinkTulips · 17/10/2008 17:46

lidl are fab, they'r our emergancy 'mommy forgot to wash the nappies' nappies and i've never had a leak,, whereas when i used pampers as a back up i quite often did, or had exploding gel with both pampers and huggies.

the cheap tescos ones are very plasticy and have sticky tape tabs which are a pain in the ass (literally for ds when he wriggles and gets stuck )

aldi are good too

CuppaTeaJanice · 17/10/2008 17:54

Sainsburys basics aren't bad - a bit strange and plasticky, but hold everything in!

Often they have 30% off, too, so a pack of 20 size 4 is about 98p.

pinata · 17/10/2008 21:29

boots - 3 packs of 34 nappies for £12. or asda - 3 packs of 32 for £10.

i don't actualy buy any other nappies now, after trying pretty much all the ones there are - these 2 are far batter than any others, nice and high at the back (DD is prone to getting poos squished all the way up at the back) and huggies and pampers are no good at keeping it all in

Concepta · 17/10/2008 21:37

Have to agree with several other mumsnetters - Lidl are excellent. Both my DDs had them and they were are good as any other the more expensive brands.

Lidl! Fantastic nappies, can't recommend them highly enough - have never had any problems with them.

I've also found Tesco and ASDA good but slightly bulkier. Worst of the 'own brands' I've tried is Sainsburys - I had a whole week of leaky nappies!
