When should I be worried about newborn vomiting?

My little one is one and a half weeks old and I'm getting anxious about his tendency to throw up what seems like most of a feed, usually once every two or three feeds. It's not just possetting as quite a lot comes out, up to an hour after the feed, and it smells of horrible stomach acid and is curdled, and partly digested. I'm trying so hard to do everything carefully, feeding, burping, keeping upright and then he still throws it all up. Which is so upsetting. Seems to be worst with morning feed - does anyone know if this means anything? At what stage should you go to a doctor, or is it normal for very young babies to vomit quite a bit? He's making lots of nice yellow poo nappies and otherwise seems to be doing well.

It's gross, isn't it? My 12 week old throws up what looks like all his feed pretty much all day but he is ginormous and on 91st centile for weight. I think you only need to worry if they are very upset by it,or if they stop gaining weight.

I swear mine threw up every milk feed I ever gave them but they pooped and grew so it was nothing to worry about.

Ofc at the time I thought my kids were starving to death as you do.

Something to note too is that it always looks like more when it comes back up than it actually is. If you take 1oz of water and tip it on a babygro, even with a bib over the top it will be absolutely soaked.

So long as the baby isnt in any discomfort its not something to worry about
