DD spontaneously potty training (she's nearly two) umm do I encourage this?

I'd not planned to start till she was two and a half but this morning she found a potty in the cupboard and asked to 'wee' so I took her clothes off and she actually urinated into it! .

She then asked for it four more times during the day and while she didn't produce anything, each time she sat there saying 'need a poo' and obviously trying to do one

I have a 12 week old so I am really unsure whether to encourage this because rushing to the loo every five minutes is difficult. But I don't want to discourage her efforts and am unreasonably proud of her for having picked up what a potty is for from her book (Nappy Duck and Potty Pig).

Tink's been the same, I think real nappies made a big difference to her. She wouldn't have her nappy on during the day at home and when I got a potty she went straight away. She's still not telling us when she wears a nappy or pants which is the only thing keeping her in pants now.

am now getting very fed up of the 'potty NOW' shouts - I've just had to strip her off and plonk her on it an hour after she goes to bed! Mind you she did do a prodigious wee when I did so I guess she's learning.

I think we might work on 'getting our own pants off and sitting ourselves on the potty instead of needing mum and dad to do it' tomorrow.
