DS2 and DD are tired after a day at nursery, so I've settled them on the sofa with their duvets and pillows while they watch the bed time hour, and I'm on mumsnet (hoping they fall asleep)
So how bad am I?

Sounds like my house good to me.

They haven't had a bath, or brushed their teeth. They are fully clothed.

I really should make some effort, shouldn't I?

The good thing is, when the clocks change soon, you tell them that it is infact now bedtime as its dark outside

Skip the bath then, they won't die.

Just quick teeth brush and jammies on right before bed.

I always like to remind myself of the fact that Claire Rayner admitted to putting her children to bed at 4pm one dark winter's afternoon, because she was absolutely knackered.

The winter drawing in does have some benefits for those with children who can not tell the time....

Somw days, if that what it takes to cope, then its no harm at all.
