what do you carry in your bag?and who doesn't even take one

right, after this started on other thread i'm making a seperate on.

what do you put in your changing bag? and would you ever go without. as i have a friend who never takes anything. no nappies/wipes/juice/

nothing at all. just her stuff. and it drives me crazy. coz she either borrows mine or has to go and get somewhen we're out.

i used to take

4 nappies
change of clothes x 2 (ds &dd)
wipes
cream
nappy sacks
jar of baby food.
2 spoons
tissues
lip balm
huge wallet/purse
phone
house keys
car keys
milton wipes
2xbibs
dummies
disposible changing mats

cut down to smaller bag

2 nappies
handy pack of wipes
1 nappy sack
i pair unisex trouers,1x pants1x t-shirt
wipe clean bib
dummy
small change purse
phone
car keys

have a bag with all other stuff for emergencies in my car.

oh and have a variety of juice/bottles/milk/goddies crips/crackers/raisins
depending on how long i'll be out and what time of day.

Until ds was potty trained I stuck a spare nappy and a packet of wipes in my bag. If we were going to be ages I put 2 nappies in. Early days of training I took a spare pair of trousers/pants and will stick those in car if going on long journey.

at the moment just nappies/wipes as one of mums dogs ate my changing bag...

probably more but cannot think, I hate not having something I need. The weaher changes so much that you can go out in a woooly hat and end up needing a sunhat & suncream!

3 nappies,(or more depending on where we're going)
nappy sacks,
wipes,
Bibs,
sick rags, (like muslin but from matalan)
spare change of clothes, inc socks & booties,
change mat,
nibbles,
teething gel,
metanium cream or sudocream,
winter hat or summer hat.
carrier bag for dirty clothes jut in case,
boobie pads for me in case i leak.

and for me,
Lip balm, tissues, purse, house keys, mobile, sunnies (if suns out) pen, umm, think that's it.

but if we're just off down the road to town quickly then all i take is one nappy and wipes and nappy sack.just in casers.

DS is 2 yrs old, I stick a nappy and some wipes in my handbag along with all my usual crap. I always make sure I have a snack and a drink for him in case none available when we're out.

I don't take spare clothes now as haven't needed them since he stopped being a pukey baby (and isn't potty training yet). If out for longer, then 2 nappies.

In the early days took a heavy duty bag with everything mentioned - and more. Got sick of lugging the thing around so pared down to a small handbag with:

Wallet
Keys
Mobile
2 folded up plastic bags for shopping
1 disposable nappy (we use cloth at home)
travel pack of wipes
small muslin - for bib/face-wiping etc

Just recently ditched the pouch sling, which folded up really small (but DD is now too heavy for)
Sippy cup, because she happily drinks out of open cups, or with a straw from a bottle

All of the rest of it was so rarely used (spare clothes etc.) there really was no point in hoiking it all about.

I don't carry all that crap!

I sling a couple of nappies, a packet of wipes ad a drink under the pushchair - if I am going to be out long enough to need it.

In my pockets are my purse, phone and key.

There is not NEED for all that stuff!

dd1 stuff necessary -dd2 stuff - only end up spending lots on snack if you dont take anything

I have a largeish makeup / washbag with one disposable changing mat 2 nappies, travel pack of wipes and thats slung under pushchair. In my pockets have keys money debitcard and mobile.

I have 3 changing bags but dont use them

DD's are 1 (exactly!) and 2.6 I take

DD1 has her own bag if she insists with her teddy/drink/book whatever and DD2 carries her stuffed toy.

I do have a bag in the car with nappies, large pack of wipes, nappy sacks, full change of clothes for both including socks and jumpers so as I am either within walking distance of the house or with the car I don't need to haul 10 tons of crap around!

the bag in the car thing i find very handy. as i can quite often plan to be only out for a short trip and and end up out all day. handy to be able to restock nappy supplies from it.

At the moment I've got a large changing bag containing:

4 nappies
wipes
nappy sacks
change of clothes (vest + sleepsuit)
dummy
muslin
hat
my stuff: keys, phone, wallet, diary, lipbalm, iPod
usually some random things accumulated over the course of the day, e.g. DP's birthday present is currently hiding in there

I don't drive and don't always know how long I'll be out for, plus DS is extremely adept at pooing through his clothes, so all that stuff is necessary for me. I don't mind though as have always carried loads of stuff around due to low boredom threshold.

my dd is two, ds six months

I have a big yummy mummy messenger bag in preperation for dd4's arrival in a fortnight which is at the moment just used for dd3 who is a year old.

ha ha littleducks, i have a bib in my change bag but always forget to use it.

At the moment I have DD1 (4 years) who doesn't carry her own crap stuff so for her I have
a bottle of water,
spare knickers (she doesn't have accidents anymore but sometimes gets them wet in the process of using the toilet)
and sometimes hat & gloves if she decides she doesn't need them but I think she may later in the day

DD2 (2 years) still not PT'd so
two or three nappies depending on how long we are out,
couple of wipes just thrown in dry,
nappy bag,
sippy cup and snacks
and two small colouring books with set of crayons

and me:
Purse,
Mobile,
lip balm,
sanitising hand gel & hand cream,
Deodorant stick & sample perfume as I sometimes forget before I leave the house and hate going without,

and sanitary pad (just in case)

and have dc3 due in 4 weeks so will be needing:

I'll probably need a suitcase for that lot! luckily I have a big old pram for dc3 so can hide a few items in the foot part of that while dc3 is tiny and leave a bag of bits in the car.

Usually just a couple of nappies and wipes and a change of clothing for the baby but if I'm not going far, nothing. I know it's best to be prepared and I have been caught out a couple of times but I'm crap at remembering everyting.
