overnight fluffles starting to leak out the top for DD (20 months)

Hello

Can anyone advise please? Just recently most mornings when we fetch DD (20 months) from bed the tops of her PJ bottoms are wet and we are washing PJs daily at the moment. It seems that all of a sudden the fluffles aren't coping overnight. We had her in disposables for two weeks on hols and DH is threatening to put her in them at night now to solve this problem and I am resisting this suggestion! She is doing fairly massive poos too in the early hours of the morning (TMI?) which must contribute to the problem too.

Do I need to get new wraps? I used motherease popper ones (with the frog prints, not sure what they are called). Should I try and pad the nappies out further? Maybe they are getting old although they still look in excellent condition (been in use since she was born and was second hand then ? I got size 2 nippas that I made do with when she was small). Any advice much appreciated.

Thank you in advance.

Firstly I suggest you succomb to your DH's threats on the condition that he does any resulting laundry. If airflows (the name of your wraps - the print is called 'Wetlands') can't cope a disposable sure won't!

I think the poos are the problem as you loose quite a lot of the absorbancy once that happens.

Things that might help are an extra bit of boosting or going up a size in wraps if she is near the upper weight limit. The next size up will give you a higher rise and will give you more room for boosting inside.

Fluffles and airflows last for many years - I doubt they are past it.

I should think that when the pooing habit changes you'll have less of a problem.

I would put a thin hemp or sim booster to boost absorbency?

personally, I think that fluffles are a dreadful night diaper. Might as well put a sieve around the bottom

I wouldn't have thought that the problem is the wrap as Motherease wraps are fairly reliable...

Agree with BBM - if she is near the maximum capacity, then she needs a bigger size.

Could you try boosting in the meantime? Bamboo boosters are good, but you could try a fluffles booster in addition to a bamboo one?

Thank you very much for your swift responses. I have had a look on the Little Green Earthlets website and the wraps I am using are wrong for her weight. I hadn't thought of that since we aren't on the last poppers yet! I'll order some more of these and give that a go.

Thank you again ? can always depend on MN for sound advice!
