Have posted in the mental health section here, but also wondering if anyone can offer any positive solutions to my problems, in that I can't put 6 week old DS down - at all, and that he's feeding for up to 2 hours at a time?

Thanks!

Sorry you are having a rough time. I am due to have baby #2 in Feb and ds will be 2.2 then, I was considering going a bit more 'attachment parenting' with this one but having read your post am not so sure! I hope someone can offer you some good advice and reassurance, I suspect however that the best comfort is that this bit doesn't go on forever... just feels like it...

6 week growth spurt he will feed LOADS for a bit, then calm back down again

try to go with the flow rather than fight it! can you try and stay home a bit more and just feed. Worry about housework etc another time (or never!)

I remember DS feeding for britain at 6 weeks to the point where I was losing the plot. Felt like one big feed. It passed and will pass but in the mean time sending you huge hugs. Can you do anything to keep ds amused whilst you put your feet up? Have a friend around for him? Go to soft play? Have you got a sling you can feed in?

Not making a rod for your own back at all- I did all the things you say with DS for about the first 6 months and he is a wonderfully confident, social and independent 2 year old now!
