Reaction to MMR

My DS had his first dose of MMR last Tuesday, he had a temp last night and today I have had to pick him nup from nursery. He has been clingy (not normal for him) didn't sleep at nursery and has sicked up his tea.

My HV told me that reactions would happen 6-10 days after the injection, and this is bang on schedule, but does anyone have any experience of this?

How long was your little one sick for, and how sick were they?

Yes we had a feverish baby (she's never normally ill). It only lasted 24 hours.

Both my dds had a reaction like this including a rash. Lasted about 24 hours if my memory serves me correctly. Give calpol and lots of TLC

Ds2 had his 3 weeks ago and 6 days later we had symtoms. He stayed clingy for at least 5 days and having just started sleeping through he was bback in our bed everynight. nurofen/calpol and cuddles worked.

Thanks for responses. He has been off his stott since Tuesday night. Much better today, but yesterday he was a fractious clingy milk-only grumpster.

I hate it when he's ill. He doesn't know what to do with himself and is so miserable.Even Calpol and mummy didn't do it for him yesterday.
